Инновационный способ восстановления газотурбинных лопаток с помощью лазера разработали в НГУ

The method allows applying protective layers to aircraft engine parts without overheating

Specialists from the NTI Competence Center at Novosibirsk State University (NSU) have developed and patented a new method for restoring gas turbine blades. The technology is already being implemented in industry.

The essence of the method lies in laser surface treatment, which allows applying durable protective layers of metal or ceramic composites without overheating sensitive areas. This preserves the shape of the blade and the strength of the restored area.

Why this is important: gas turbine engines are used in aviation, energy, and the gas industry. With foreign suppliers leaving, domestic repair technologies are critical for Russia's industrial independence. The new approach reduces maintenance costs and extends the service life of equipment.
