A Mi-8 helicopter of the "Vzlet" airline, which was flying from Okhotsk to Magadan, did not make contact at the appointed time, operational services reported. There were three crew members and two technicians on board, who were heading after repair work.
Additional forces have been involved in the search: another Mi-8 flew from Okhotsk, and an An-26 aircraft from Magadan.
