Retro Tram Parade Held in Moscow

Historical vehicles took to the streets on Moscow Transport Day

On July 12, a retro tram parade took place in Moscow, running from the tram repair plant on Volochaevskaya Street to Sergia Radonezhskogo Street via the Entuziastov Highway. The event was timed to coincide with Moscow Transport Day, which is celebrated for the ninth time.

Before the start of the parade, the head of the Moscow Department of Transport, Maxim Liksutov, noted that trams have become the pride of the city and an important object of attention from the government.

On the territory of the tram repair plant, viewers could see actors in historical costumes, including traffic controllers and refined Muscovites. Military personnel, workers, and drivers – actors – became passengers of the retro trams.

The parade attracted viewers who watched the movement of the trams with interest and photographed the historical cars. At the final stop near Sergia Radonezhskogo Street, a festival was held with free treats, entertainment for children, and performances by artists.
