A new development by Ural engineers, the three-section Sinara tram, was presented at the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg. Visitors can see the model at the main entrance of the exhibition complex. According to representatives of the Sinara Group, the tram features increased passenger capacity and modern technical solutions that make it competitive compared to other analogs.
The new model accommodates up to 308 people, including 70 seats, with 65% of these seats located at a low floor level, making boarding and disembarking particularly convenient for passengers with limited mobility. Thanks to the absence of protruding elements in the design, the interior is spacious and open. Wide doorways speed up passenger exchange, and adaptive suspension ensures a smooth ride on urban routes.
The tram's design takes into account reliability and durability: a solid welded metal body and composite panels provide additional rigidity and protect against corrosion. All main components are entirely of Russian production. For example, the bogies are manufactured at the Lyudinovo Locomotive Plant, and the control and autonomous running system is developed by the IT company Algoritm S.
The Sinara tram can be produced in two modifications: for the wide Russian gauge (1524 mm) and for the European standard (1435 mm). Competition among tram manufacturers is particularly high this year: the five-section model 71-665 from UKVZ is already undergoing testing on the streets of Yekaterinburg, and the 71-952 model from PC TS is presented in the Innoprom exposition. Despite this, the Ural Sinara confidently asserts itself as a promising product of domestic machine building.
