In the future, the new Russian laser weapon could be used in the navy. This point of view was expressed by Alexander Perendzhiev, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
In his opinion, laser weapons can become an effective means of protecting energy facilities - nuclear, thermal and hydroelectric power plants.
It is worth looking for applications of laser weapons in naval battles to defeat large ships. It can probably be successfully used against unmanned boats to instantly stop enemy fleet attacks.
