Footage of the combat operation of the BM-2 vehicle of the heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A "Solntsepyok" has appeared online. The main feature is that the complex was installed on the platform of the T-80 main battle tank.
The video shows how the new product briskly turns around and launches multi-kilogram ammunition at the enemy. At the same time, fighters with shotguns cover the "Solntsepyok" in case of an attack by enemy kamikaze drones.
Previously, 46-ton multiple launch rocket systems were made on the T-72 chassis. The plant in Omsk, where they are manufactured, is currently producing T-80BVM tanks, so the choice of a vehicle with a gas turbine engine is obvious.
