For airlines, the cost of owning an aircraft is one of the key expense items. The high price of the aircraft negatively affects the economics of transportation, said Viktor Anoshkin, Director of Information Policy and Corporate Communications at Smartavia.
The cost of leasing is much more important than the price of the aircraft. With a favorable financial product, the operation of even an expensive aircraft can be quite profitable.
Oleg Panteleev, Executive Director of the AviaPort agency, recalled that the first models of aircraft are always so expensive that it is impossible to sell them even at cost.
In our conditions, the increase in the key rate, inflationary processes, and so on have worsened the situation. If the state does not subsidize the supply of new aircraft, then they are sold at a loss and only reach an operating plus after increasing the production of aircraft.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the forecast price of the MC-21 aircraft will be 7.606 billion rubles. At the same time, the State Transport Leasing Company in the summer of 2023, without taking into account subsidies from the National Welfare Fund, estimated it at around 4.6 billion rubles.
