Russia has developed the first robotic platform "Strannik" with satellite control. The tracked drone is designed for evacuating the wounded and mining at a distance of up to 30 km, Komandante Robotics said.
Depending on the battery capacity, the drone is capable of traveling distances of over 15 km and up to 30 km. "Strannik" is fully controlled by satellite. To control the platform, a tablet or smartphone is needed, while the operator can be located anywhere in the world.
"Strannik" is compact and fits in the trunk of a car. The weight of the complex is 56 kg. The device has telemetry, with which the operator can talk to the people around him.
The declared platform speed is 20 km/h. An obvious advantage of the drone is fully domestic software.
