A Su-27 fighter jet, performing a training flight, crashed in a forest area of the Nizhny Novgorod region. One pilot was found without injuries, the search for the second continues.
A special commission will investigate the incident and will arrive at the crash site soon.
Emergency services, including fire crews, are currently working at the scene. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not yet commented on the incident.
Updated. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation commented on the incident, stating that the crashed aircraft was a Su-34.
