The trailing suction hopper dredger "Ivan Cheremisinov", previously operated in the Astrakhan Branch, has been transferred to the management of the Azov-Black Sea Basin Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport". Thus, the branch's dredging fleet now has nine units, and the total fleet has 77 vessels.
"Ivan Cheremisinov" (project 13505) is a steel single-deck vessel with a bow superstructure and an aft engine room. Its movement is provided by two 637 kW engines and a pair of controllable pitch propellers with a diameter of 1.7 m. The main equipment includes a soil pump with a capacity of 4,500 m³/h, a flushing pump of 1,200 m³/h and a hold with a capacity of 1,015 m³, which allows the dredger to independently extract and transport bottom soil. The pulp is unloaded through bottom hatches. Additionally, a five-ton grab crane is installed for operation in confined waters near berths and piers.
The vessel was built in 2002 and named after Ivan Semyonovich Cheremisinov-Karaulov, the first Astrakhan governor of the 16th century. Its key characteristics: length 62.5 m, width 12 m, draft up to 4.2 m, gross tonnage 1,274, working dredging depth from 4.5 to 15 m, speed 10 knots, endurance six days, crew twelve people.
The Azov-Black Sea Branch plans to use the dredger for dredging operations in the ports of Kavkaz and Temryuk, where its high performance and maneuverability will help maintain the specified depths and safe navigation.
Earlierwww1.rureported that the dredger "Temryuk" has joined the fleet of the Azov-Black Sea Branch of Rosmorport.
