The number of scammers on online classifieds platforms is not decreasing, and they are increasingly using new technologies. This was stated by Dmitry Grigoriev, CEO of CIAN.
Increasingly, apartment interiors generated using artificial intelligence are appearing-this is a tool for scammers who are trying to extract money from people, for example, those wishing to rent housing.
CIAN is carefully studying such ads and implementing mechanisms to detect and block them on the platform, but scammers continue to find ways to circumvent these protections.
To identify suspicious ads, the company uses various methods. In particular, employees analyze calls from customers through a call-tracking system that protects real user numbers. In addition, test AI algorithms are used to check individual ads.
