The company \"Information Satellite Systems\" named after Academician M. F. Reshetnev\" (JSC \"RESHETNEV\", part of Roscosmos) will create a series of small-sized devices to provide communication on mobile objects.
The first model in the line is the RS-30M satellite communication subscriber terminal. This is a compact device weighing 2.5 kg with an antenna 30 cm in diameter. It can be installed on various types of transport.
RS-30M was tested on railway transport. For this, the developers chose a route from St. Petersburg to Murmansk.
Throughout the entire route of the rolling stock, the terminal antenna accurately maintained pointing to a telecommunications spacecraft located in geostationary orbit.
Telemetry, text and voice information were transmitted via the established communication channel. The device demonstrated the possibility of organizing high-speed data transmission.
