Exercises with the submarine of project 677M "Lada" took place off the coast of the Kaliningrad region

The crew of the rescue vessel SS-750 of the Baltic Fleet took part in exercises to assist the conditionally damaged submarine "Kronshtadt" (project 677M "Lada") lying on the ground. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The deep-sea rescue vehicle AS-26 was lowered from the carrier vessel. Its crew discovered a submarine lying at a depth of about 60 meters.

Rescuers cleared the coaming platform of "Kronshtadt" (a device on the hull of a submarine in the area of the exit lock chambers) from bottom silt, and after docking, evacuated the submariners.

"Kronshtadt" is a fourth-generation submarine, part of the Kola Flotilla of mixed forces of the Northern Fleet. Project 677 "Lada" was developed at the Rubin Design Bureau.
