The head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, said that the company will reduce its production plan for 2025 due to a market drop of 30-40%. Initially, the VAZ workers wanted to produce 500 thousand cars.
We will adjust our production program, but this is a natural management decision, because when the market falls, you need to follow objective external realities.
According to him, Lada car stocks in warehouses amount to about 100 thousand units, which is twice the optimal level.
The change in the production plan will affect the company's financial model and its investment opportunities, however, according to Sokolov, it will ensure the viability of the enterprise in an unstable market.
