Voice Payment Technology Presented by MTS Bank and NSPK

Pilot project allows paying bills using SBP and a smart speaker

At SPIEF-2025, MTS Bank and the National Payment Card System (NSPK) presented an innovative voice payment technology via smart speakers. This is the first project in Russia that allows making transactions through the Faster Payments System (SBP) using voice commands.

The technology works as follows: the user gives a voice command to the smart speaker, which automatically requests account data and processes the payment. To do this, you need to link your bank account to the device in advance via a mobile application. The demonstration showed how to pay for mobile services, but in the future, the functionality will be expanded to include utility bills, electricity, and other regular expenses.

MTS Bank is actively developing the Daily banking direction — services for convenient payment of daily needs. In cooperation with NSPK, we have launched a real-time payment function, with which smart speaker users will be able to request information about their accounts and conduct transactions by voice. MTS Bank participated in the technical implementation of the project.
Eduard Issopov, Chairman of the Board of MTS Bank

Dmitry Dubynin, head of NSPK, added:

We strive to create the most convenient and modern payment services. The voice scenario will help people save the most valuable thing — time. Thanks to this technology, users will be able to easily make monthly household payments without being distracted from everyday tasks. It is enough to simply ask the voice assistant to pay for services, and at this time, the Faster Payments System will work "under the hood". It will conduct the payment quickly and safely.

So far, the project is at the prototype stage, but its successful testing may lead to mass adoption.
