Pacific Fleet (TOF) ships practiced searching for and destroying a mock enemy submarine during exercises, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
The crews of the frigate "Marshal Shaposhnikov" and the large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Tributs" of Project 1155M in the Pacific Ocean practiced searching for and destroying a mock enemy submarine.
According to the exercise plan, the ship search and strike group made a transition to the designated area and conducted a search for a mock enemy submarine. An anti-submarine helicopter Ka-27PS was used to perform the tasks.
According to the exercise plan, the ships carried out artillery fire at a surface target simulating a mock enemy ship, and also practiced destroying sea floating mines, shooting down air targets, and countering unmanned boats.
Firing at training targets was conducted from AK-100 and A-190 artillery mounts, and 30-mm AK-630 artillery mounts and large-caliber machine guns were also used.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the engine cowling of the Superjet-100 was torn off right in the air.
