На международной космической станции проведена коррекция орбиты

Roscosmos: ISS orbit increased by 520 meters

The orbit of the International Space Station (ISS) has been successfully corrected — its altitude has increased by 520 meters. The maneuver was performed using the engines of the Progress MS-30 cargo ship, which fired for 208.4 seconds, creating an impulse of 0.3 m/s. Now the average altitude of the ISS orbit is 416.18 km above the Earth's surface.

Such corrections are carried out regularly, since even at this altitude, the station experiences resistance from the Earth's atmosphere, which leads to a gradual decrease. Without periodic maneuvers, the ISS would lose about 100–150 meters per day, which in the long term could pose a threat to the work of the crew and scientific experiments.
