Delivery of RBT2006 Oil Spill Response Vessels from R-Flot to Transneft to Be Completed by the End of Summer

New RBT2006 project vessels will enhance waterborne emergency response capabilities

R-Flot is preparing to hand over specialized RBT2006 project oil spill response vessels to Transneft by the end of summer 2025. This was announced by the head of the holding, Alexey Klepikov, at the SudostroenieRu 2025 conference.

The vessels are designed to contain oil spills with a flash point above 60 °C. Their tasks include:

  • Installation of boom barriers to contain oil spills.
  • Transportation of equipment for emergency spill response.
  • Search and rescue of people on the water.

RBT2006 project boats are single-deck steel vessels with an all-welded hull and a superstructure made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, offset to the bow. The design includes a ledge on the upper deck, which increases stability when performing operations in difficult conditions.
