Russia has modernized the "Geran" kamikaze drones. The new strike drones fly faster and much higher, and the Russian Armed Forces launch them in very large numbers.
"Gerans" began to fly at high altitude, immediately excluding mobile groups armed with machine guns from the air defense system.
One of the "Geran-2" drones set anabsolute altitude record on the morning of May 25 - 4900 m. The "Gerans" engines have also been upgraded, and now the drone flies at a speed of more than 200 km/h.
The drone's airframe has been improved, and the "Gerans" dive from a height of 2 km at a speed of 400 km/h, overcoming object air defense systems.
