Russia has modernized the Geran kamikaze drones. The new strike drones fly faster and much higher, and the Russian Armed Forces launch them in very large numbers.
"Gerans" began to fly at high altitude, immediately excluding mobile groups armed with machine guns from the air defense system.
One of the Geran-2 drones set an absolute altitude record on the morning of May 25 — 4900 m. The Gerans' engines have also been upgraded, and the drone now flies at a speed of over 200 km/h.
The drone's airframe has been improved, and the Gerans dive from a height of 2 km at a speed of 400 km/h, overcoming object air defense systems.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Tu-160M bomber surpassed the American B-1 Lancer: greater flight range and payload.
