Russian military personnel carried out a scheduled replacement of the gun barrel on the combat vehicles they operate. In particular, the soldiers showed in detail how this happened on one of the T-72B3s.
First, they showed the inside of the barrel - how much the resource had been used up due to intensive use. The soldiers also dismantled the thermal protection jacket, after which it remained to remove the powder gas ejector.
On modern combat vehicles, it is not necessary to dismantle the turret itself; the tube is simply unscrewed. This is done with the help of a repair vehicle crane and a sledgehammer. Then, in the reverse order, a new barrel is installed, still completely smooth.
T-72B3M is a modernized version of the T-72B3 tank, which received a rear-view television camera and a new sighting system with a digital display.
