Russian-assembled Chery Tiggo 9 crossovers have appeared for sale in Moscow. Cars with a VIN code starting with EDE have appeared in one of the online showcases.
Russian-assembled Chery Tiggo 9 crossovers have appeared for sale in Moscow. In particular, a large leasing company has put such cars on its "showcase".
The first part of the car's VIN code, known as WMI, indicates the place of assembly. Previously, the same codes, EDE, were seen on Chery Tiggo 7L crossovers. This suggests that the Tiggo 9 is also produced at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga.
At the end of 2024, Chery announced that owners of the newflagship Tiggo 9 crossover in Russia will be able to update their car's software remotely. This will allow them to keep all systems up to date, including the voice assistant, without visiting a service center.
