The first crossover under the new Tenet brand will be presented in June 2025, according to the manufacturer's press service.
Details about the model are not yet available. It is assumed that it will be a rebranded Chery vehicle, which was demonstrated at the brand's presentation.
Tenet cars will be assembled at the former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga region, which is now owned by AGR Holding. Production will be established in partnership with the Chinese company Defetoo.
At the initial stage, the Russian plant will organize large-node assembly of cars, with a subsequent increase in localization up to full-cycle assembly. This was announced in February 2025 by the Governor of the Kaluga Region, Vladislav Shapsha.
It is also planned to produce four models under the Tenet brand at the Kaluga plant, which will have a total capacity of 200,000 cars per year.
