The first crossover under the new Tenet brand will be presented in June 2025. This was reported by the manufacturer's press service.
There are no details about the model yet. It is assumed that this will be a rebranded car of the Chery brand, which was demonstrated at the brand's presentation.
Tenet cars will be assembled at the former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga region, which is now owned by AGR Holding. Production will be established in partnership with the Chinese company Defetoo.
At the initial stage, large-node assembly of cars will be organized at the Russian plant, with a subsequent increase in localization up to full-cycle assembly. This was announced in February 2025 by the Governor of the Kaluga Region, Vladislav Shapsha.
It is alsoplanned to produce four models under the Tenet brand at the Kaluga plant, which will have a total capacity of 200 thousand cars per year.
