Demand for MTS Urent scooters grew by 50% in the first ten days of June

The peak of riding shifted to morning and evening hours on weekdays

Demand for MTS Urent kick-sharing scooters in the first ten days of June increased by more than 50% compared to the same period last year, the service's press service reported.

The average daily number of trips increased from 430,000 to 655,000 — an increase of 52%.

The company attributes the growth to good weather and a change in the usage model — more and more city residents are renting scooters not for leisure, but as a means of transportation for business. Therefore, the peak of activity falls on weekdays, while on weekends there are fewer trips, but they are usually longer in time.

Whoosh and Yandex Go services declined to comment on the situation.
