Yandex has announced the launch of the 2025 season with new scooters. The new products are completely designed in-house — from design to technology. This was reported by the Yandex press service.
The new scooters allow you to start in 2-3 seconds. This is made possible by a special button on the handlebars.
Now users do not need to open the application. After pressing the button, the scooter synchronizes with the smartphone via Bluetooth and signals the start.
This button can be used to end the ride or pause it. The new scooters are more accurate in identifying "slow" and "forbidden" zones where riding at full speed is unsafe.
The new products are equipped with side light indicators that flash when braking and warn of maneuvers. For night trips, there is a flashlight with a radius of up to 10 meters, and the body of the personal mobility device also displays the basic road safety rules.
The scooter design has also been improved. The new model is 3 kilograms lighter, the front wheel has been increased, and the platform has been designed for a more stable foot placement. The scooter also received special handles that make it easier to carry it up stairs or remove it from a row on the street.
Testing of the new technology will be completed in April, then the button will work on all scooters in Moscow.
