A way to revive the MiG-35 with the help of the Su-57 has become known: give it a second chance

The fighter can borrow R-77M missiles and a new radar from the Su-57

The MiG-35 fighter program can be revived in Russia with the help of technologies from the fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft. This opinion was reached by the authors of Military Watch Magazine (MWM).

According to them, the MiG-35 fighter program by the mid-2020s had largely failed to meet expectations - only six aircraft were in service, and there were no clear plans to produce new ones.

New technologies that have been introduced into the design of Russian fighters over the past decade can increase the potential of the MiG-35. This will make it more competitive in international markets.

In particular, the aircraft can be armed with modern R-77M and R-37M air-to-air missiles. The MiG-35 can also be equipped with a modern radar based on the Su-57's airborne radar station. The new product will increase the range of target detection and engagement.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the new Rodnik 3D radar was created for the military, but it is not able to detect small drones.
