The Russian tank support fighting vehicle (BMPT) "Terminator" has withstood several instances of running over anti-tank mines. The vehicle's resilience was reported by the commander of a BMPT company with the call sign Kurgan.
According to him, there were four instances of running over anti-tank mines in the company. The "Terminator" also ran over a "sandwich" of two mines lying on top of each other.
At the same time, the BMPT was repairable, and there were no casualties. The vehicle lost its shoes, lost a road wheel, but all of this is recoverable.
The BMPT was developed on the basis of the T-90A tank, and it surpasses the tank in terms of protection level thanks to the "Relikt" dynamic protection.
The "Terminator's" ammunition was taken outside the armored volume, which reduces the risk of the BMPT being destroyed upon impact. The "Terminator's" arsenal includes anti-tank missiles, automatic cannons, a machine gun, and grenade launchers.
