At the KAMAZ PJSC engine plant, preparations are being completed for the launch of two robotic complexes as part of the "Bridges" project. The equipment is designed for high-precision machining of rear wheel hubs and brake drums of hypoid axles with increased load capacity, used in K5 generation vehicles.
Each complex includes three vertical turning centers with an automated quality control system.
The quality of these parts affects the safety of the entire vehicle, therefore, after machining, the machines provide automatic control of the key dimensions of the part and maintain a constant temperature of the coolant.
The process is fully automated: a robot moves the workpieces between machines, cleans them of chips and transfers them to the conveyor. The operator only needs to check the quality and pack the parts. This reduces manual labor and minimizes errors.
Only one operator is needed to work on these complexes: they place the loads on the complex's conveyor, and then the robot, in accordance with the program, transfers the workpieces from machine to machine, blows the part off the chips and places the finished part on the conveyor of manufactured products.
In addition to robotic lines, the site is equipped with washing machines, ultrasonic baths and new lifting equipment. The lines will be launched within a month.
