Insider sources have published the first image of the new Lada Iskra Sport with a 1.8-liter engine. The car is made in black, equipped with dark alloy wheels with high-profile tires and a spoiler on the trunk lid.
According to preliminary information, the same power unit is installed under the hood as in the Lada Vesta Sport — with a capacity of 145 hp. This noticeably distinguishes the model from the Lada Granta Sport, which is equipped with a less powerful 1.6-liter engine with 120 hp.
The official premiere of Lada Iskra Sport is scheduled for June 18 in St. Petersburg at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum — 2025. Together with it, AvtoVAZ will present the first crossover on the Lada Vesta platform.
As specified, the demonstrated specimen is not a serial civilian version, but a sports modification intended for participation in competitions. This explains the use of non-standard tires and the likely presence of improvements to the suspension and engine settings.
The release of the new model indicates AvtoVAZ's desire to strengthen its presence in the segment of sports cars, offering more powerful and dynamic-oriented solutions.
