The interior of the sports version of the Lada Iskra Sport was partially declassified during the Race of Champions broadcast.
The images shown reveal a front panel with a classic shape and a medium-sized central display. Ventilation deflectors are located on the sides of the screen, and a strip with the inscription Iskra Sport is visible below it. A little lower is the control unit for the air conditioning and heating system.
Earlier it became known that the sports version of the Lada Iskra received improvements in the engine - the volume of the 1.6-liter engine was increased to 1.8 liters, the crankshaft and connecting rods were modernized, as well as the intake and exhaust systems. This made it possible to increase the power to 173 hp
The car body was lightened, and a welded frame, specialized shock absorbers and stiffer springs were installed to improve safety. Rubber-metal silent blocks were replaced with rigid spherical hinges.
