At the COMvex-2025 exhibition, the Ural Automobile Plant presented a new Ural-80 all-wheel-drive truck with a 4×4 wheel configuration, developed as part of the model range update and designed for operation in harsh road and climatic conditions.
The novelty was demonstrated in two versions — as an aerial hydraulic platform (jointly developed with the company "Megadrive") and a shift bus (created together with the Miass enterprise "GIRD"). The Ural-80 serves as a modern alternative to the Sadko-9 model and is considered as a replacement for the Ural Next 4×4 chassis.
The basis for the new vehicle is the Ural-43206-67 chassis, which features more compact dimensions and improved payload capacity. The main technical innovation is the installation of a new YaMZ-535 in-line diesel engine with a power of 238 hp, providing improved traction and fuel efficiency. The updated cab with redesigned "front end" improves ergonomics and comfort for the driver and crew.
The aerial hydraulic platform based on the Ural-80 allows lifting to a height of up to 22 m, which makes it a popular solution for construction, installation and maintenance work, especially in remote or hard-to-reach areas. The design ensures stability and safety when working in off-road conditions.
The second version — the shift bus — is designed to transport up to 20 people and is intended for transporting personnel to industrial facilities on various types of roads, including rough terrain. It is equipped with the same YaMZ-535 power unit and built on the same Ural-43206-67 chassis.
The first prototype of the Ural-80 was assembled in Miass in December 2024, the second — in March 2025. The start of mass production is scheduled for this year.
