The newest nuclear submarine "Knyaz Pozharsky" with intercontinental "Bulava" missiles is completing state tests

Exercises of the Project 955 Borei-A cruiser are taking place in the White Sea

In the waters of the White Sea, the newest nuclear-powered missile submarine K-555 "Knyaz Pozharsky" of Project 955 "Borei-A" is completing state tests.

The culmination of these events should be the launch of a practical intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) "Bulava".

The submarine "Knyaz Pozharsky" was launched on February 3, 2024.

"Knyaz Pozharsky" is the fifth nuclear submarine of the modernized Project 955A "Borei-A". The ship was laid down on December 23, 2016.

Ships of this and the previous Project 955 carry 16 solid-propellant ICBMs "Bulava" developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Uralvagonzavod announced an all-Russian vote for a new name for the BMPT Terminator.
