Crews of the «Bastion» complexes of the Baltic Fleet performed training electronic launches of missiles in the Leningrad region at surface targets at a distance of about 150 km. This was reported by the press service of the fleet.
According to the scenario of the exercises, the enemy sent landing ships to the coast of the Gulf of Finland in order to land forces and seize a bridgehead. Crews of the missile unit of the Baltic Fleet made marches in advance to positional areas, where «Bastion» coastal defense missile systems were promptly deployed.
«Bastion» was developed by NPO Mashinostroyenia and equipped with a supersonic self-guided anti-ship missile «Onyx». The complex is designed to protect a sea coast with a length of over 600 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that «Uralvagonzavod» announced an all-Russian vote for a new name for the BMPT «Terminator».
