The duration of magnetic storms on Earth has reached 54 hours, according to the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of IKI RAN and ISZF SB RAS.
The total duration of continuous geomagnetic disturbances is currently 54 hours, of which 48 hours were storms.
The Institute of Applied Geophysics noted that the magnetic storm on Earth will last at least until June 3, and its strength will change periodically. At the same time, the parameters of the solar wind have almost returned to normal.
The wind speed is holding at 600 km/s - still 1.5 times higher than normal, but has fallen sharply compared to peak values.
