In Bangladesh, the installation of a ventilation pipe has been completed at Unit 2 of the Rooppur NPP, which is being built using Russian technology. This was reported by the state corporation "Rosatom".
The equipment, weighing about 100 tons and 67 meters long, was installed with jewelry precision using a powerful crane.
The ventilation pipe plays an important role in ensuring the safety and stable operation of the nuclear facility. With its help, employees remove excess heat and moisture, maintaining optimal conditions for the equipment when the reactor is shut down or during repairs.
The Rooppur NPP is located 160 km from the capital of Bangladesh — Dhaka. Its construction began in 2017. The first power unit is scheduled to be commissioned in 2026, the second in 2027.
