The company "Yandex" has announced the integration of AI agent functionality into the voice assistant "Alice". This will allow the assistant not only to analyze web pages, but also to perform actions on them — for example, book tables, fill out forms, or make purchases. Testing of the innovation will begin in the summer in the beta version of "Yandex Browser".
The AI agent works on the basis of large language models (LLM) and is able to perform tasks autonomously, learning in the process. Yandex already uses similar technologies in the "Food" and "Market" services, which accelerated the processing of requests by 10–15%.
We expect that the emergence of AI agents who can not only analyze information, but also perform actions, will be able to enhance this effect by two to three times.
Foreign counterparts, such as Google Project Mariner and Opera Neon, already offer similar functions. Google is testing an agent in Chrome, allowing you to automate purchases and bookings, and Opera has introduced an AI agent to create games, reports, and even websites. In Russia, "Yandex Browser" remains the leader with a share of 36.68%.
