Yandex has announced the launch of an innovative project that includes the integration of the "Alice" voice assistant into "smart" buildings. The first object is the Moscow residential complex SLAVA. Its residents will be able to manage various functions of the building both by voice and through a mobile application "House with Alice". Access to the new features will be available in June 2025.
With "Alice", users will be able to accept calls from the intercom, view video from public cameras and order passes for guests and couriers. To let a visitor in, just say: "Alice, accept the intercom call" and ask her to open the door. To get a pass you can simply say: "Alice, order a pass." At the first stage, video from the cameras will be available in the application, and later it can be displayed on the screens of "Station Duo Max" or "TV Station".
In the future, new functions for managing the intercom and other systems will appear in the SLAVA residential complex. For example, the user will be able to tell "Alice" that he is expecting guests at a certain time, and she will automatically open the door for them. When ordering food or a taxi via Yandex Go, the system itself will request a pass for the courier. The code for the intercom will be available in the application, and for a taxi, the barrier will open automatically when the car arrives.
In addition, a pilot project will be launched in June with the "Our House" platform and the intercom operator "Sputnik". About 200 thousand owners of "Sputnik" intercoms in various cities of Russia will be able to manage the intercom through "Alice". By the end of the year the project will cover 214 cities.
