Гуманоидных роботов теперь будет разрабатывать Яндекс?: для проекта уже выделили деньги

330 million rubles will be allocated to the company's promising projects, including robotics

Yandex has announced the start of work on a project to create humanoid robots. As part of this initiative, the company will focus on developing software to provide basic functions for humanoids. This was reported by journalists, citing a company representative.

The project is being implemented through the Yandex B2B Tech division and is supported by the new Yet Another Tech Fund (YATF), which will allocate 330 million rubles to the development of technologies, including robotics.

At the first stage, the developers will focus on creating an operating system that allows robots to move, climb stairs, and interact with the environment. In the future, Yandex plans to independently design and manufacture humanoids.

The Yet Another Tech Fund will support innovative projects of Yandex employees, assessing their technological potential. According to the head of YATF, Ilya Sharov, the main goal of the fund is to enable talented engineers to realize ambitious ideas, even if they seem fantastic. The fund's first projects include the development of robots that can work in various fields, from logistics to education, and perform tasks such as delivering parcels and patrolling buildings.
