Multifunctional digital service for providing state services and communication may be developed in Russia

New digital tool should combine messenger, identification and "Gosuslugi" on one platform

A new digital service may appear in Russia that will combine a messenger, an identity verification tool, and access to government services. The initiative is being discussed in the State Duma and the Ministry of Digital Development, and its implementation could simplify the interaction of citizens with government agencies and businesses.

The head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Sergei Boyarsky, proposed legislative changes to create such a platform. According to him, the service will allow, for example, to confirm age when buying goods or check into a hotel without paper documents.

I am convinced that this is the right and necessary step to strengthen our digital sovereignty.
Sergei Boyarsky, head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy

The initiative aims to create a secure digital environment where citizens can not only communicate, but also solve administrative and commercial tasks. Boyarsky called this step important for the development of the country's digital sovereignty. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Digital Development is already working on integrating the "Gosuslugi" portal with the Max messenger, having abandoned similar plans with Telegram.
