Soviet T-64B tank received stealth technologies for the first time: remained relevant after 50 years

The combat vehicle received additional composite cladding for all projections of the turret and hull

Uzbekistan will present a new modification of the T-64B/BV tank. In the coming days, it will be shown in the Victory Park complex in Tashkent.

The vehicle received additional composite cladding for all projections of the turret, hull, and even the 2A46M-2 gun.

The material provides equivalent resistance, primarily against monoblock cumulative warheads. This solution reduces the tank's visibility in the infrared and radar ranges.

The T-64B tank is a modernized version of the T-64A combat vehicle, which began production in 1976. In 1985, a modification of the T-64BV tank appeared, featuring an updated fire control system and enhanced armor protection. At the time of its appearance, the T-64B was considered one of the most advanced in the world. It was on its base that the T-72 and T-80 tanks were later developed.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest 9M134 Bulat missile will increase the ATGM ammunition load by four times.
