An MC-21 aircraft was circling in the sky over Kazan on Wednesday, May 28. Information about this is reflected in the online system FlightRadar24.
The aircraft with tail number 73054 was en route to the capital of Tatarstan from Ramenskoye. After that, the plane circled over the Zelenodolsk region of the republic and Kazan. The exact purpose pursued by the crew members is unknown.
Rostec noted that the MC-21 was a response to sanctions pressure. The aircraft is equipped with units and systems of Russian production, a month ago it was first tested in flight at the airfield of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant of the Yakovlev company. Next year, the aircraft will be able to be delivered to airlines.
Aviation industry analyst Roman Gusarov stated that the MC-21 has accumulated advanced achievements in aircraft construction - both domestic and global. The aircraft is already ahead of the current Boeing and Airbus in terms of technology.
