The new Russian medium-range aircraft MC-21 has accumulated the most advanced achievements in aircraft construction — both domestic and global. It is ahead of the current Boeing and Airbus in terms of technology, said aviation industry analyst Roman Gusarov.
One of the advantages of the MC-21, the analyst called the fact that the aircraft was designed from scratch using modern technologies and materials, while the history of the Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 goes back to the middle of the last century.
In this regard, the MC-21 has already overtaken them, and foreign machines will no longer reach it, because it is impossible to squeeze something new out of an old design. Boeing and Airbus do not want to invest money in creating a completely new aircraft, they are doing well as it is, they have no competitors anyway.
Gusarov added that the MC-21 is the most spacious aircraft. It has an advanced intelligent system, and most importantly, the MC-21 is a young project.
If Boeing and Airbus have already squeezed everything possible in 50 years, then the domestic aircraft has these 50 years of life ahead.
