The "Remdiesel" plant has announced the production of new trucks under the Altera brand. The first model will be an all-wheel drive 6×6 chassis with a gross weight of 19.9 tons. The Vehicle Type Approval (OTSH) is scheduled to be completed in the fall.
Among the features of the new vehicle is a frame made of high-strength steel, which is lighter compared to analogues, as well as low-leaf springs.
The main customers of the new chassis should be companies in the oil and gas industry. The car will receive a 270 hp Yuchai turbodiesel in combination with an 8-speed Fast Gear mechanical gearbox.
In the future, the plant plans to launch heavier models with a gross weight of up to 30 tons. "Remdiesel" plans to produce up to a thousand Altera trucks per year, with the project scheduled for completion by the end of this year. The car is being developed in collaboration with Chinese partners not related to JAC.
The company also plans a high degree of localization of production, including welding and painting of cabins.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Uraman brand debuted with all-wheel drive models.
