The Belarusian army will receive a batch of Mi-35M combat helicopters from Russia before the end of this week, according to Andrei Lukyanovich, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the republic.
According to him, Belarus will receive another batch of Su-30SM2 aircraft before the end of the year.
We will receive Mi-35M helicopters this week.
Lukyanovich noted that, through military-technical cooperation with Russia, the planned modernization and renewal of the fleet of weapons, military, and special equipment is being carried out in stages.
The Mi-35M helicopter is protected by armor, including protection from small-caliber artillery shells, making it one of the most survivable machines in its class. Due to the combined characteristics of speed, armor, and firepower, pilots call the Mi-35 a flying infantry fighting vehicle (IFV).
The Mi-35M is equipped with a modern electronic display and navigation system, a sighting system with television and thermal imaging channels, a direction finder, and a laser rangefinder.
