Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Concern intends to create a center in Belarus for the maintenance of air defense equipment in service with the republic. The parties will sign a contract in the near future, said Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy General Director for Foreign Trade.
According to him, the concern is actively cooperating with enterprises of the Belarusian military-industrial complex. Belarus is already armed with Buk-MB2K military anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) (a version modernized by Belarusian specialists) with a range of 70 km and Tor-M2K, which have proven their effectiveness and reliability.
Naturally, we plan to combine our efforts in other areas as well. We are actively working with the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, and we are actively working with the "2566" radio-electronic equipment repair plant.
State Joint-Stock Company "Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Concern" is one of the largest enterprises in the defense industrial complex, producing air defense equipment, including the latest S-500 "Prometheus" anti-aircraft missile system.
