A resident of Orenburg purchased a new Lada Vesta SW car from the official dealer AO "Lada-Service" in 2023. The car cost 1.72 million rubles.
The car had a warranty for three years or 100,000 km of mileage. However, shortly after the purchase, the car developed serious malfunctions - the headlight switch, turn signals, wipers, and the cabin heating system stopped working, and the headlights did not turn off even when the ignition was off.
The buyer contacted the service center for warranty repairs in December 2023, but faced a problem - spare parts for the repair were not delivered. As a result, the woman returned the car to the dealer, but the refund was delayed for 19 days, which violated the 10-day period established by law.
This became the basis for going to court, where the woman demanded from AO "AvtoVAZ" a penalty of 1% of the car's cost for each day of delay, as well as compensation for gasoline expenses and moral damage. The Orenburg District Court partially satisfied the claim, obliging the car manufacturer to pay a penalty and compensation, but did not specify the exact amount of payments.
