The Russian supersonic bomber with variable sweep wing Tu-22M uses Kh-22 missiles, which are almost impossible to shoot down with existing air defense systems. This was stated by military expert Yuri Ignat.

According to him, the heavy warhead of the ammunition is capable of causing significant damage.

Despite the fact that such missiles have been in service for more than a decade, their publicly available tactical and technical characteristics are impressive. The maximum speed of the missile is 4.6 M, which is 5635 km/h. The flight can be carried out at an altitude of 25 km.

Weight - 5780 kg, including a high-explosive cumulative warhead weighing 960 kg. The range is up to 600 km.
