The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the "National Reserve Corporation," Alexander Lebedev, shared his opinion on the possibility of launching serial assembly of passenger aircraft in one of the republics of the North Caucasus.
He noted that the main focus in Russia is currently on the MC-21 and Superjet 100 lines. But there is another promising project - the modernized Yak-40.
There is a very interesting project, it is in the hands of the state. This is a project - a modernized Yak-40 with engines from the Yak-130 military training aircraft.
The expert emphasized that domestic military engines "have always been excellent." And an airplane is essentially an engine "that can be attached to a chair or a fence and flown."
I claim that theoretically, for several billion rubles, it is possible to establish mass production by building a plant. This is a very inexpensive pleasure, it costs billions of rubles. Why not imagine that one of the republics of the North Caucasus becomes the center for serial assembly of aircraft with 45 and 75 seats with excellent speed, range, and engine energy consumption.
According to him, in modern conditions, the key to solving the issue is a public-private partnership and subsidizing interest rates.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia in aviation will be able to do with its own developments, we did not copy, but made it better.
