Several men in civilian clothes were sitting on the armored vehicle. When asked if the BRDM-2 was good on the water, they answered in the affirmative - 11 km/h.

The seven-ton armored vehicle was adopted in 1963. Currently, it is not in service with the military, a certain number of BPDM are in long-term storage warehouses and are in the parks of the Russian Guard.

Many decommissioned armored vehicles were disarmed and converted into civilian vehicles for tourists and hunters. In addition to its ability to swim, the BRDM-2 is interesting for its additional wheels in the bottom - they can be extended, helping to overcome ditches.

To move on the water surface, there is a water jet with two propellers in the rear of the car. They are driven by a power take-off box. The manufacturer's stated speed on the water is 8-10 km/h.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the world's largest Mi-26T helicopter was mothballed after 12 years of storage.
