The latest modifications of the kamikaze drone "Geran-2" have changed the method of targeting and become invulnerable to electronic warfare. This was stated by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
According to him, "Geran-2" are controlled by modules based on artificial intelligence, synchronized with TV/IR guidance sensors.
They no longer depend on GPS and connect to mobile networks with 4G channels, which makes them practically invulnerable to electronic warfare.
Also, the Geran-2 drones have become almost twice as powerful. They began to install a warhead increased from 50 to 90 kg. The combined warhead combines four types of damage - cumulative, incendiary, fragmentation and high-explosive.
In addition, drones fly at an altitude of up to 4900 m, becoming invulnerable to mobile anti-aircraft missile systems.
Earlier www1.ru reported that new Tor-M2 air defense systems will be adapted to destroy kamikaze drones.
