The crew of the nuclear submarine "Arkhangelsk" of Project 885M "Yasen-M" of the Northern Fleet launched a "Caliber" missile from the Barents Sea at the Chizha training ground in the Arkhangelsk region. This was reported in the press service of the fleet.

The distance from the submarine to the target exceeded 600 km. The press service of the fleet clarified that the missile firing was carried out successfully with confirmation of all flight and technical parameters. The commander of the Northern Fleet, Vice Admiral Konstantin Kabantsov, stated that the crew of the "Arkhangelsk" submarine showed professionalism and training.

The Project 885M "Yasen-M" submarines were developed by specialists from the "Malakhit" design bureau. They possess powerful strike weapons and can perform combat missions anywhere in the world.

"Arkhangelsk" was launched in November 2023. In December of the following year, the submarine joined the Russian Navy.
